We’re looking for a Finance Reporting Specialist to join the Stock Profit team within our wider Co-op Business Services (CBS) organisation on a 6-month secondment. CBS is made up of a number of diverse teams dedicated to delivering high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective business services across our Co-op. You’ll play a key role in helping CBS to support and realise our group vision of ‘co-operating to build more value for member owners every day’.

In this role, you’ll provide weekly cash flow forecasts, along with insightful analysis and commentary, to colleagues across the wider Co-op. You’ll play a big part in supporting effective liquidity management, financial decision-making, and financial controls by aligning forecasted cash movements across our Source to Pay (S2P) and Source to Cash (S2C) areas.

Why this role matters

Most importantly, when you notice something isn’t quite right with our cash flow and working capital, or there’s an opportunity to do things better, we’ll need you to help us sort it.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with our Payments and Credit Control teams to create the weekly S2P and S2C cash forecasting reporting
  • Provide analysis and commentary on our cash forecasts 
  • Help spot risks and opportunities that could impact our accounts payable and receivable ledgers
  • Reconcile the monthly utility accruals files for our Financial Control team
  • Identify and resolve queries regarding our accrual reconciliations

What you’ll bring

  • Experience working in a cash reconciliations environment
  • Experience analysing financial data
  • A good understanding of our S2P and S2C processes
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
  • Good collaboration and relationship management skills
