At Co-op, we’re not owned by a wealthy few. We’re owned by you and her and him and them.

When you joined us, you became part of a movement with more than 6 million member-owners who each own a piece of our Co-op. You get a say in how things are run, opportunities to support your community, and a share of the profits when you help us grow.

Because we’re owned by you, our business only thrives if we do right by you.

We have clear ambitions in support of our vision of building more value for our member-owners every day. We exist to meet our member-owners’ needs and stand up for the things they believe in.

Put simply, we’re here to do right by you.

So, the more successful we are, the more we can give back to you and your local community.

Our values and principles

Co-op is different. Born with a different set of values and driven by a different set of decisions.

Our values and principles date back to 1844 when our Co-op was founded, but they’re as relevant in today’s world as they’ve ever been.

As a Co-op colleague, you have the chance to live our values by getting involved - whether it’s with a local cause close to your heart, by becoming a Community Council Member at one of our Co-op Academies, or by supporting our official charity partnership. This is where you can make a difference.
