A place
you’ll belong
At Co-op you’re welcomed, included, and cared for inside and outside of work.
At Co-op, we promise to do right by you. And you and her and him and them.
We want you to thrive at Co-op. We’ll campaign relentlessly for change on issues that matter to you. And we’ll fight for colleagues from all walks of life, because we know your background doesn’t define your potential.

Tackling the pay gaps
As the first retailer to publish ethnicity and social mobility pay gap reports, we’ve challenged the status quo to build a more inclusive workplace.
Gender Pay Gap
We’ve made real progress closing our gender pay gap. We’ve also been recognised by the FTSE 100 women’s leaders review for female representation in leadership.
Socio-Economic Pay Gap
We know colleagues from lower socio-economic backgrounds are less likely to progress into senior leadership roles. And we’re taking real action to change this.
Ethnicity Pay Gap
We’ve more than doubled ethnic minority representation in our leadership since 2020. As a result, we’ve seen our ethnicity pay gap reduce. Inclusion is essential to our people strategy.
Inclusive partnerships
We’re proud to work alongside great partners who help us build a workplace where everyone feels included and supported
InnovateHer
We collaborate to help young women grow their careers in digital technology and data
PREACH Inclusion
We partner with PREACH Inclusion to promote Property team roles and support greater diversity in the built environment
Business Disability Forum
We’ve teamed up to help make our workplace more inclusive and accessible for everyone
Armed Forces Covenant
