Senior Reconciliation Analyst
£29,500 to £33,000 (pro-rata) plus excellent benefits aligned to your home role (Work Level 6B)

We’re looking for a Senior Reconciliations Analyst to join the Reconciliations team within our wider Co-op Business Services (CBS) organisation on a 6-month secondment. CBS is made up of a number of diverse teams dedicated to delivering high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective business services across our Co-op. You’ll play a key role in helping CBS to support and realise our group vision of ‘co-operating to build more value for member owners every day’.

In this role, you’ll be in charge of the daily operations of the team, ensuring everything runs smoothly. We’ll rely on you to make sure the work gets done on time and meets our high standards, while you juggle service agreements and targets. Why this role matters

This role plays an important part in keeping our Co-op financially accurate and accountable. By making sure our reconciliations are produced properly, you’ll help us protect our finances, support confident decision-making, and maintain trust with our clients, customers, and third-party investors.

What you’ll do

  • Manage team resource to make sure accurate and timely reconciliations are produced monthly 
  • Work with the reconciliations team making sure the creditors’ balances are kept up to date and any aged items are action and resolved 
  • Support the team as a referral point on reconciliation and journal queries 
  • Make sure service level agreements and key performance indicators are managed and understood by the team 
  • Assess and improve the controls within the processes to make sure that any risks are managed and negated

  • Good understanding of controls in reconciliation and experience building them into processes 
  • Good relationship forming skills with both internal and external partners
