Trade and Seasonal Planning Assistant
£28,000 to £31,000 plus great benefits (Work level 6B)
Manchester city centre – hybrid working, splitting your time between working from home and coming into the office 2 to 3 times a week.

Would you like to play a key role in bringing our trade and seasonal plans to life? As a Trade & Seasonal Planning Assistant, you’ll provide vital organisation and administrative support to help us plan, deliver and review some of our biggest trading events.

Our trade and seasonal events are some of the most important moments in our annual plan, driving sales, improving customer experience and helping us stand out in a competitive market. This role helps us to make sure that those events run smoothly and land brilliantly in our stores. From maintaining our trade plan and supporting promotions, to coordinating insights and presentations, the work you do will directly influence how our customers experience Co-op across key trading periods.

What you’ll be doing

  • In this role, you'll support the team in shaping and delivering our trade and seasonal events plan by:
  • Updating and maintaining essential planning documents, including the annual trade plan, sales briefs (Retail & B2B), promotional packages and event briefs
  • Creating clear, engaging PowerPoint presentations to communicate key information to a range of colleagues
  • Carrying out data checks alongside the Promotional Planning team to ensure accuracy in our promotional plans
  • Completing competitor analysis for key trading events and turning insights into engaging, easy to understand summaries
  • Helping to bring colleagues together to collaborate on seasonal event planning and promotional plans, aligned to our new Food strategy
  • Supporting post implementation reviews for key sales driving moments throughout the trade plan
  • Taking on a variety of ad-hoc tasks to help the team run smoothly and stay organised

What you’ll bring

  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
  • Strong presentation skills
  • A high level of attention to detail
