Co-op Brand Data Manager
£40,000 to £45,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6A)
Manchester city centre, in this role you’ll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home and coming into the office at least twice a week.

We’re looking for a Data Manager to join our Co-op Brand team and help us deliver products that customers love. If you’re passionate about turning data into actionable insight and want to make a real impact on how our Own Brand products perform, this could be the perfect role for you.

Why this role matters

At Co-op, our Own Brand products are a key part of how we deliver value, quality, and innovation to our customers. As Data Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our decision-making, using data to shape strategy, influence product development, and improve performance across all channels. Your insight will help us understand what’s working, what’s not, and where we can do better—so we can keep delivering products our customers love.

What you’ll do

• Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for a range of internal teams
• Run weekly reports to track key Own Brand metrics and performance
• Build strong relationships across teams including Product Development, Quality, Strategy, Customer Insight, Retail Trading, and Range & Space
• Respond to questions from senior leaders, using data to inform decisions and drive improvements
• Analyse performance to spot opportunities to improve how we work
• Plan and manage your own workload to support team goals and deliver on time

This role would suit people who have

• Experience working with financial and customer metrics
• A strong ability to interpret commercial data and turn it into clear direction
• Confidence working independently and collaboratively
• Experience using strategic insight to guide projects
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences

Why Co-op?

At Co-op, we’re owned by our members. And because we’re owned by you, we can do right by you. So when you join us, you’re not just taking a job, you’re joining a movement. We’re an organisation that puts people and communities first, and we’re powered by purpose. We want this to be a place where you can thrive, so you’ll also receive:

• An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
• 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
• A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
• Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ)
• Coaching and training to support your career development
• Wagestream app – giving you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn
