£43,000 to £50,000 plus benefits including a company car (Work Level 6A)

We’re looking for a Divisional Loss Specialist to join our operations team. You’ll join our Retail Loss function, who are responsible for identifying areas of improvement in our stores across the UK and enhance delivery of operational process and financial performance relating to leakage, waste and cash. 

In this role, you’ll be field based and support the Divisional Loss Managers to drive delivery of national loss process improvement whilst identifying and capitalising on regional specific opportunities. We’ll look to you to engage teams to implement structured and sustained change that’ll help make sure that our business is performing at its best.  You’ll also support oversight on operational loss processes, investigating and root causing failures. If you’re detailed, forward thinking and passionate about loss, we can offer you the opportunity to make a real impact on the way we do business at Co-op.

What you’ll do

  • Provide subject matter expertise and direction to stores and field managers relating to loss policies and procedures, input and output performance
  • Implement project activity and local action plans to target and minimise loss
  • Provide specialist support to the field operations team with complex and/or high impact loss incident management
  • Provide timely, accurate and clear engagement with partners and with all relevant parties, giving opportunities for effective collaboration
  • Find opportunities for pro-active identification of loss / loss saving initiatives
  • Support implementation approach to theft prevention activities within strategic programmes

This role would suit people who have 

  • Experience of operational store management
  • A proven track record in managing the performance of leakage, waste, and cash loss
  • Strong partner management with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong understanding of delivering change 
  • Strong planning and execution capabilities, and are self-driven
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
