We’re looking for an Employee Relations (ER) Service Operations Manager to join the ER Services team within our wider Co-op Business Services (CBS) organisation. CBS is made up of a number of diverse teams dedicated to delivering high-quality, reliable and cost-effective business services across our Co-op. You’ll play a key role in helping CBS to support and realise our group vision of ‘co-operating to build more value for member-owners every day’.
In this role, you’ll take responsibility for overseeing the provision of a demand led, customer focused ER advisory service to Co-op line managers through our partners Peninsula. You’ll lead and motivate a team of ER Partners and Investigators who provide advice and coaching to line managers on more complex ER matters and manage the contractual relationship with our partner. The job will involve a significant amount of partner management at a senior level, and we’ll look to you to influence executive colleagues when it comes to ER matters. It’s a big challenge. But it’s also a unique opportunity to help continue to shape the way we deliver our ER service offer.
What you’ll do
- Lead the day-to-day ER Services operation with a focus on delivering both great quality and service levels
- Manage the contract service delivery with our partner.
- Proactively share findings from ER cases with teams and partners across the business to drive a continuous improvement culture.
- Recommend methods to update, simplify, and enhance ER processes, procedures, and technologies, and support the implementation of any change improvements within the team.

- Experience of leading a team in a shared service environment
