5 over 7 shift pattern, working around 7 weekend days per year

We’re looking for a motivated Team Leader to join us and manage our team of Inbound Planning Assistants within Supply Chain. This team are responsible for the scheduling of inbound supplier Purchase Orders (POs) across our ambient and frozen depot network. They work with our supplier base and their hauliers to agree delivery times, making sure the flow of goods into our network is smooth and timely, so that the products our customers love are ready to be shipped out to our stores.

This role offers a great opportunity for you to gain valuable exposure and build relationships across our Supply Chain whilst also developing your leadership skills. It is also a great entry level role into Supply Chain where we will support your development into other roles.
What you’ll do
• Manage a team of 6 Inbound Planning Assistants, taking on all line management duties for these colleagues, including leading team meetings, carrying out 1-to-1s, conducting performance reviews, and supporting their development.
• Build relationships with Demand Planners, Suppliers, depot colleagues, and other key partners across Supply Chain
• Create and manage our delivery schedules in collaboration with our Depots, agreeing adjustments where required to make sure inbound goods flow through in a controlled manner that also work for our suppliers
• Manage any operational issues with depots and act as a point of escalation for Demand Planners
• Resolve any issues with our scheduling system (C3)
• Drive continuous improvement
What you’ll bring
• Either experience of working in supply chain and/or leading a team
• Great relationship building skills with the ability to motivate and support others
• Strong communication skills, with the confidence to engage with people at all levels
• Good general IT skills with the ability to pick up new systems quickly
• Great organisational and prioritisation skills
