Threat Intelligence and Analytics Manager
£54,500 to £64,500 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)
Manchester city centre (hybrid)

We’re open to applications from people who may require flexible working arrangements. There’ll be an opportunity to discuss your flexible working requirements during the interview process, and at offer stage. You’ll also benefit from hybrid working, with occasional travel to our Manchester office for team days, meetings, and events.

Please note: In line with our internal mobility policy, we’d like to make you aware that a preferred candidate has been identified for this opportunity

We’re looking for a Threat Intelligence and Analytics Manager to join our wider Digital technology & data team in Manchester. In this role, you’ll manage our threat intelligence and analytics capabilities, helping us to enhance risk detection, prioritisation, and mitigation. You’ll focus on managing our threat intelligence platform (TIP), analytics processes, and collaboration efforts to drive proactive cyber defence strategies across Co-op.

Why this role matters

We’re in an exciting period of growth at Co-op. As the digital landscape evolves, it’s vital that we stay ahead of cyber threats. This role plays a big part in protecting our business by enhancing our capability to detect, prioritise, and respond to cyber risks. This is where you come in. You’ll help us build a more resilient organisation through smarter threat intelligence and analytics.

What you’ll do

  • Own and manage the threat intelligence platform (TIP)
  • Integrate TIP with tools like SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and vulnerability management systems
  • Correlate threat intelligence with vulnerability data to help prioritise remediation based on risk, exploitability, and business impact
  • Use advanced analytics to uncover patterns and emerging risks in threat and vulnerability data
  • Build dashboards and reports to share insights with our security colleagues and senior leaders
  • Develop analytics-driven detection rules and anomaly models in SIEM/XDR platforms
  • Keep documentation up to date for TIP workflows, integrations, and automation
  • Work closely with SOC, vulnerability management, and incident response teams to make sure intelligence is actionable
  • Provide regular updates and briefings on the threat landscape, platform, and analytics trends

What you’ll bring

  • Deep knowledge of cyber threat intelligence and security technologies
  • Hands-on experience managing TIPs (e.g., ThreatConnect, Anomali, MISP)
  • Familiarity with SIEM (Splunk, ELK), SOAR platforms, and vulnerability management tools (Qualys, Tenable)
  • Experience with automation and scripting (Python, REST APIs)
  • A strong understanding of frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, the cyber kill chain, and threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)

Why Co-op?

At Co-op, we’re owned by our members. And because we’re owned by you, we can do right by you. So when you join us, you’re not just taking a job, you’re joining a movement. We’re an organisation that puts people and communities first, and we’re powered by purpose. We want this to be a place where you can thrive, so you’ll also receive:

  • Private healthcare
  • An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
  • 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
  • A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
  • Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ)
  • 30% discount on Co-op products and 10% off other brands
  • Stream – early access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it
  • Virtual healthcare including GP appointments, mental health support, nutrition and fitness advice
  • 24/7 colleague support service
  • Training and support for your development and career progression
  • Cycle-to-work scheme
