FRTS Service Delivery Lead 
£80,000 to £87,093 plus great benefits (Work Level 4)

We’re looking for a FRTS (Federal Retail and Trading Services) Service Delivery Lead to join our Partnerships team at Co-op. FRTS is the central buying group for co-operative retail societies, and the Co-op manage the food bought for sale for over 4,000 co-operative food stores in the UK on their behalf. FRTS works by pooling the collective £8.5 billion buying power for 18 co-operative societies in the UK, allowing us to negotiate better prices from suppliers.

In this role, you’ll lead, create, manage, and implement the FRTS service model here at Co-op. You’ll work with others to spot and fix problems in the single purchase point process, making it smoother and easier for independent society members and the co-operative group partners and teams. You’ll work to strengthen the relationships between all partners so we can do right by them conveniently, ethically, and sustainably.

What you’ll do

• Accountable for the core Co-operative group service to the ISM’s (Independent Society Members), working with commercial, supply chain, logistics, technology and the FRTS Federal team 
• Work cross functionally on initiatives that impact FRTS, providing subject matter expertise to teams across the business 
• Make sure that key targets are being monitored effectively for FRTS service 
• Support the design and delivery of all continuous improvement projects impacting FRTS 
• Use data to make sure that we’re aligned with relevant regulations and to spot risks and opportunities 
• Develop plans to connect with our partners, and continuously serve partner needs 
• Support in the creation and delivery of the FRTS trade plan across all partners

This role would suit people who have

• Detailed knowledge of operations in Food and wider Co-op
• An understanding of functional and governance processes
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to optimise processes 
• Experience in building relationships with both internal and external partners with the confidence to influence and challenge when necessary  
• Great communication skills with the ability to engage with a range of audiences
