Operations Product Manager – MyWork 
£51,600 to £54,600 plus excellent benefits (Work Level 5)  
12-month secondment (maternity cover)
Manchester city centre - in this role you’ll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home and the office around twice a week, and some occasional nationwide travel when required (find out more about our hybrid working policy at https://jobs.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).  

We’re looking for an Operational Product Manager (MyWork) to join us and help us transform how we operate. As part of our Operational Support Centre, you’ll be right at the centre of changes that really matter, developing innovative functionality and solutions to our 50,000 colleagues.

Why this role matters

In this role, you’ll lead the development of the MyWork task management application, making sure that we deliver a high-quality, consistent service and optimise the value that it products bring to our colleagues and customers. You’ll be responsible for the continuous evolution of MyWork, identifying and delivering new features to improve experience and the overall benefit to end users. We’ll also look to you to own the roadmap for your products as well as owning and developing our end-to-end store communications strategy, working with the wider operational innovation team to contribute to our future vision.

What you’ll do

•    Be responsible for the content, functionality, day-to-day management, and continuous improvement of the MyWork application
•    Engage senior business partners to identify new opportunities to drive further value, and support with expertise and advice on how best to utilise functionality with our business strategy
•    Listen to users (colleagues and customers) to understand their needs
•    Be a subject matter expert for your product portfolio, working cross-functionally and with third parties to build and maintain a support model and appropriate processes
•    Work alongside project teams to support our strategic direction through innovation and integrations with other systems
•    Act as the operational relationship manager with our tech providers to influence their future roadmaps
•    Be responsible for developing roadmaps for each product in your area, and making sure these are prioritised appropriately across your portfolio, balancing colleague, customer and business needs
•    Gather industry best practice for applications and technology and using this to enhance our own product strategy

What you’ll bring

•    A detailed understanding of our current operational products (apps and software), store operations and product methodology 
•    An understanding of task management systems and operational uses
•    Strong commercial insight, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Demonstrable analytical and numerical skills, the ability to interpret data and make links to the business
•    Experience of managing multiple conflicting priorities at the same time
•    A track record of developing positive and robust business relationships and leading a team
