We’re looking for a Brand and Membership Insight Manager to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract in Manchester to help shape the future of our brand and membership offering. These are at the heart of everything we do, and you’ll make sure insight drives the decisions we make around them. You’ll turn data into stories that help us understand what matters most to the people we serve, and use that knowledge to influence how we meet their needs.
In this role, no two days will be the same. We’ll look to you to plan and lead research and insight from a bunch of different sources, and collaborate with teams across our Co-op to help shape the work we do. If you’re passionate about insight and have the skills to bring it to life, this is your chance to make a real difference to our customers, members, and communities.
Why this role matters
At Co-op, our brand and membership offering set us apart. They’re how we connect with our customers and members, and deliver value to local communities. By leading insight in this space, you’ll help us to understand what people really think and feel. We want to make sure we’re always putting our customers and members first, and your work will guide the decisions that help us do this.
What you’ll do
- Create insight plans and lead projects that shape the future of our brand and membership offering
- Deliver insight to develop propositions and measure how our brand performs across multiple Co-op business areas
- Build strong relationships with senior leaders and share clear and engaging insights
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver insight projects
- Analyse data from different sources, spot trends, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Line manage our talented Brand and Membership Insight Analyst, and support their development
- Champion the work we do and the value of insight across Co-op
What you’ll bring
- Experience leading insight programmes using qualitative and quantitative research methods
- A track record of using insight to inform brand and proposition development
- An awareness of how industries such as Food Retail, Funeralcare, and Logistics operate
- A strong understanding of brand and marketing theory and how to turn insight into action
- The ability to coach and mentor others, supporting them in their development
- Good planning and organisational skills
- Good communication skills, and the ability to make complex data easy to understand
We know some people may hesitate to apply if they don’t meet every requirement. At Co-op, we’re committed to building diverse and inclusive teams, so if you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t align perfectly, we still encourage you to apply.
Why Co-op?
At Co-op, we’re owned by our members. And because we’re owned by you, we can do right by you. So when you join us, you’re not just taking a job, you’re joining a movement. We’re an organisation that puts people and communities first, and we’re powered by purpose. We want this to be a place where you can thrive, so you’ll also receive:
- Private healthcare
- An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
- 28 days holiday plus bank holidays
- A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
- 30% discount on Co-op products and 10% off other brands
- Stream – early access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it
- Virtual healthcare including GP appointments, mental health support, nutrition and fitness advice
- 24/7 colleague support service
- Training and support for your development and career progression
