We’re looking for a Principal Product Manager to join our Digital technology & data team to be at the forefront of our exciting shift to ‘product-first’ ways of working. You’ll form part of our product leadership team, and support areas across Co-op to move to product ways of working, to enable them to deliver digital experiences that are high-quality, inclusive, and impactful.

We’ll look to you to collaborate with colleagues across Food, Membership, and Life Services to align product strategies and champion user-centred product design. You’ll lead, coach, and mentor a number of Product Managers, supporting their development and their teams transition to product ways of working.

What you’ll do

  • Line manage a team of Product Managers, supporting their development and helping them thrive
  • Provide the tools, frameworks, and coaching to help teams build impactful product strategies and roadmaps
  • Collaborate across Food, Membership, Life Services, and Platform teams to align goals and measure success
  • Build compelling business cases to secure investment and drive long-term value
  • Partner with engineering, design, and delivery leaders to continuously improve ways of working
  • Align product strategies across teams and platforms
  • Champion the value of our work to senior colleagues and the wider product community
  • Contribute to our product community of practice and share your expertise across Co-op

What you’ll bring

  • Significant experience leading  product management across customer-facing and platform products Experience scaling products and navigating re-platforming projects
  • A track record of working in environments at different stages of digital maturity
  • Confidence using frameworks to align teams to shared goals
  • Strong storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • A proven collaborative, inclusive leadership style with a passion for coaching others
