 Store Manager – Multi-site - Knaphill
Woking & Victoria Rd
£33,500 - £37,000 per annum plus great benefits

We’re looking for a skilled Store Manager to join our retail team in a full-time, multi-site role. This is a great opportunity to broaden your leadership skills while managing performance across more than one location, with a competitive salary and strong benefits package.

As a Multi-site Store Manager, you’ll create one empowered team across our Woking and Victoria Rd stores. You’ll deliver the store purpose by leading commercial results and community impact, confidently supporting your teams even when managing at a distance.

You’ll inspire and develop colleagues to make shopping at Co op a great experience. By helping them grow and succeed, you’ll enable them to show customers, members and communities the difference Co op makes every day.

In this role, you can expect to:

•    Empower your teams to deliver great service, personally promoting the Co-op difference to customers and members
•    Build an inclusive culture where everyone can speak up and share their views
•    Develop your team through regular performance conversations – empowering team leaders to run stores whilst you are working in other stores, and lead from a distance
•    Make sure your stores are safe, legal and operational
•    Manage and optimise commercial performance of your stores, recruit new team members and manage HR processes
•    Play an important role in the multi-site offer, supporting your team to deliver and embed new ways of working

You’ll need experience of guiding and developing teams and working in a busy, service-focused environment. Good communication skills are essential, and you should be able to coach, motivate and inspire your team.

You’ll also need:

•    Resilience and great problem-solving skills
•    The ability to understand and analyse commercial information
•    Capacity to lead multiple stores and live within a reasonable distance of both store locations
•    Flexibility in your leadership approach to meet the differing needs of your stores, balancing priorities and leading effectively even when you’re not always on site
•    Willingness to roll up your sleeves and support the team with delivery of store activities

In return for your passion and commitment, you’ll get a competitive salary and great benefits package which includes an annual bonus (based on personal and business performance), 36 days holiday including bank holidays (rising with service)

You’ll also get:

•    30% off Co-op branded products in our food stores all year-round.
•    A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
•    Stream app – a money management app giving you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it
•    Virtual healthcare services for you and your family, including access to GP appointments, eye care, mental health support, and nutrition and fitness consultations
•    24/7 employee assistance service
•    Cycle to work scheme
•    Coaching and training to support your career development
