We’re looking for a Head of Regulated Product to join our Life Services senior leadership team.
In this role, you'll be responsible for the compliant commercial delivery of our Funeral Plan business, collaborating on the development of the strategy for the business and setting and delivering the commercial objectives. We’ll also look to you to make sure we’re managing our clients’ data effectively and that we’re meeting FCA regulatory requirements. It’s a big job, and one in which you’ll play a key role in driving the growth of our business and helping clients get peace of mind for their future.
What you’ll do
Drive compliant growth through pricing and promotional activities of our Funeral plans, linking in with the marketing teams to look at opportunities to increase sales and monitor campaigns
Own the strategy and implementation of our product and proposition development, evolving the current range and developing the product suite to make sure we’re delivering for our target clients
Look at how we use emerging technologies and cross-channel initiatives to generate, nurture and convert leads by delivering a positive and engaging client experience that meets their needs.
Lead the development and ongoing evolution of our 3rd party distribution proposition
Make sure all requirements are met in relation to regulated activity, including appropriate governance and oversight activities
Lead and/or influence teams across the funeral plan business to support regulatory compliance, commercial success and great client outcomes – including complaints, plan servicing and sales channels
Be responsible for a number of delegated Statements of Responsibility performing a Senior Manager Certified Function (SMCF)
Operate up to Board level ensuring appropriate stakeholder engagement, attending meetings where required, preparing papers for Board and governance forums, and maintaining appropriate audit trails
Understand and manage/mitigate key risks, working with the Risk and Compliance team
What you’ll bring
Experience of operating as a Certified Colleague in an FCA regulated business
A deep understanding of Consumer Duty
Strong commercial acumen with a growth mindset
A passion for delivering change initiatives with strong experience in evidence
A track record of senior stakeholder engagement both within own business and with external 3rd parties
Previous experience of working cross-functionally to deliver key projects or initiatives
Excellent communication and relationship building skills with colleagues and partners up to Board level
