Operations Manager – South London & Surrey
£48,560 to £59,000 plus excellent benefits including company car (Work level 5) 
Remote with travel across South London & Surrey (please note that this role requires candidates to have a full UK driver’s license) 
12-month secondment

We’re looking for an Operations Manager to join and help lead, empower, and coach a team of Store Managers. You’ll support stores across South London and the surrounding areas to deliver our Co-op purpose and vision of co-operating to build more value for our member owners every day. You’ll need to actively model our Co-op values and behaviours to create an inclusive culture where every colleague can reach their potential and thrive, and our society benefits from what we do. What you’ll do

• Provide leadership to store managers for convenience stores driving capability and growing talent
• Deliver commercial, customer, colleague and people measures within agreed budgets 
• Lead and deliver operational omni channel plans in service of our vision and to grow our business
• Enable and empower teams to deliver our store purpose and our vision of co-operating safely and legally for a fairer world for our colleagues, customers, and communities 
• Direct energy and focus on the right places depending on the mission of the stores in your wider team

This role would suit people who have

• Significant experience of motivating, developing and performance managing colleagues to inspire operational excellence across multi-site teams
• The ability to interact with and understand others, develop new relationships, and build on existing relationships
• Experience in leading sustainable change on multiple activities 
• A proven track record of significantly improving commercial delivery and leadership within a fast-paced environment
• Experience of managing multiple partners and influencing others to make sure that the needs of colleagues, customers and members are met
• The ability to develop area plans in line with customer, commercial and operational strategy, as well as succession plans for colleagues
