We're looking for an Assistant Local Campaign Manager to join our Marketing team and help us deliver local marketing activity for one of the most significant transformation programmes in our business. You'll play a key role in supporting the onboarding of stores into the Co-op network, bringing local marketing plans to life and helping customers and members understand the benefits of shopping with and joining Co-op. Working alongside marketing colleagues and cross functional teams from across the business, you'll help deliver local marketing campaigns at pace while ensuring a consistent and engaging customer and member experience throughout the programme.

Why this role matters

This is a unique opportunity to work on a high-profile programme that will deliver meaningful change across our store network. You'll have the chance to lead and coordinate local marketing activity at scale, working with a wide range of stakeholders and agency partners to bring campaigns to life. If you're an organised marketer who enjoys turning plans into action and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, this role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact while developing your experience on a major programme.

What you’ll do

•    Deliver local marketing activity that drives store reappraisal, footfall and strong trade as they transition into the Co-op network
•    Turn strategic marketing plans into detailed, coordinated delivery programmes that deliver an ROI
•    Work closely with creative, media and print production partners to brief, develop and deliver campaign assets
•    Manage multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring activity is delivered on time and aligned to wider programme milestones
•    Build strong relationships with teams across marketing, operations, property, membership and community functions
•    Support the planning and management of local marketing budgets, helping to maximise the effectiveness of campaign investment
•    Monitor campaign performance, using insight and data to provide post campaign analysis on marketing effectiveness and ROI
•    Coordinate the delivery of customer, colleague and community-facing marketing activity across multiple locations

What you’ll bring

We’re committed to making our roles as accessible as possible, so we only ask for the minimum criteria. To thrive here, you’ll need to bring:

•    Experience delivering marketing campaigns from planning through to execution
•    Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
•    Experience working with creative, media, print or production agencies and managing campaign briefs
•    Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across a wide range of teams
•    Confidence using data and insight to support decision-making and measure campaign performance
•    A proactive approach, with the ability to identify opportunities and adapt to changing priorities

Why Co-op?

At Co-op, we’re owned by our members. And because we’re owned by you, we can do right by you. So when you join us, you’re not just taking a job, you’re joining a movement. We’re an organisation that puts people and communities first, and we’re powered by purpose. We want this to be a place where you can thrive, so you’ll also receive:

•    An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
•    28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
•    A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
•    Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ)
•    30% discount on Co-op products and 10% off other brands
•    Stream – early access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it
•    Virtual healthcare including GP appointments, mental health support, nutrition and fitness advice
•    24/7 colleague support service
•    Training and support for your development and career progression
•    Cycle-to-work scheme
