We’re looking for a Demand Schedule Planner to join our Supply Chain team at Co-op. In this role, you’ll help make sure our shelves are always full of the products our customers and members love most by maintaining delivery schedules for all suppliers delivering into our depots and for all of our stores, including FRTS, NISA and Franchise. You’ll work collaboratively with key partners across the business and externally to ensure scheduling information is accurate and received on time.

Why this job matters

Your work will be pivotal to the smooth running of our retail operation, helping to ensure products are in the right place at the right time across our store network. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and gain valuable exposure within Supply Chain, while receiving training in SAP, a highly sought-after skill that will support your continued growth and development.

What you’ll do

  • Link in with colleagues and external partners across the Supply Chain to understand operational forecasting and planning of store deliveries, acquisitions, refits and closures

  • Work collaboratively with National Transport Planning to ensure our Store Schedules are accurately keyed into SAP ODS

  • Make sure that data inputted into the system is accurate the first time and resolve any issues at the earliest opportunity

  • Engage internal business partners to provide up to date and accurate information to feed into two management systems (SAP ODS and OSM)

  • Take responsibility for managing any projects assigned to you by the Delivery Schedule Manager to its completion

  • Resolve any store queries via our internal support HEAT system

  • Work with Demand Planners to ensure Vendor Schedules are actioned appropriately and work to resolve any Scheduling Issues collaboratively.

What you’ll bring

  • Great relationship building skills with a confident and engaging approach

  • A high level of attention to detail

  • Due to the peak and trough nature of the role, teamwork is essential to spread work load out in busy times

  • Good Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to analyse a variety of large data sources and draw out insight (including using VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, COUNTIFs)

  • The ability to work effectively to fixed deadlines and manage competing priorities
