Working with a range of Talent technologies, including Oracle HCM Talent, Learn, Performance, Skills, Goals, and Recruit, you’ll play a key role in testing, implementing, and embedding new functionality. You’ll help make sure our systems deliver a seamless, user-focussed experience while supporting the delivery of our wider people strategy.
Why this role matters
At Co-op, we’re committed to helping our colleagues thrive. The systems and tools that support learning, performance, career development, and recruitment play a vital role in helping colleagues to fulfil their potential.
In this role, you’ll help make sure our Talent technologies are intuitive, effective, and always improving. By prioritising user experience, providing expert system support, and delivering meaningful enhancements, you’ll enable colleagues across the business to access the tools and resources they need.
Your work will directly contribute to building a more capable, connected, and future-ready Co-op.
What you’ll do
- Work closely with our Systems Programme Manager to deliver Talent technology initiatives, prioritising activity to maximise business value and colleague impact
- Manage technology projects from start to finish, from design and testing through to deployment and embedding
- Create and maintain test scripts and workflows, making sure all system enhancements are rigorously tested before release
- Maintain and administer system interfaces, integrations, and data uploads
- Produce and maintain system reports, supporting informed decision-making across Co-op
- Manage and prioritise technology backlogs, making sure working is accurately tracked and progressed
- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation relating to technology and system processes
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide ongoing support to users
What you’ll bring
We’re committed to making our roles as accessible as possible, so we only ask for the minimum criteria. To thrive here, you’ll need to bring:
- Experience working with Oracle HCM or similar cloud-based HR systems
- A good understanding of system administration, testing, and change management principles
- Strong problem-solving and issue management skills
- Good analytical skills with the ability to generate data-driven insights and recommendations
- The ability to co-ordinate projects and present proposals in a clear way
- Knowledge of GDPR requirements and the importance of ethical data management
Why Co-op?
At Co-op, we’re owned by our members. And because we’re owned by you, we can do right by you. So when you join us, you’re not just taking a job, you’re joining a movement. We’re an organisation that puts people and communities first, and we’re powered by purpose. We want this to be a place where you can thrive, so you’ll also receive:
- An annual bonus scheme (based on personal and business performance)
- 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
- A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
- 30% discount on Co-op products and 10% off other brands
- Stream – early access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it
- Virtual healthcare including GP appointments, mental health support, nutrition and fitness advice
- 24/7 colleague support service
- Training and support for your development and career progression
