We’re reshaping our Digital, Technology and Data function for the future, creating new opportunities, strengthening our capability, and building clearer, more resilient ways of working so we can deliver even better services for our Co-op, our colleagues, members and customers.
We're looking for QA Business Partner to join our Technology team and help us deliver high-quality, reliable technology solutions across Co-op Wholesale. You'll lead testing across a broad portfolio of technology change, making sure new and updated products, platforms and services meet the needs of our colleagues, members and customers. Working closely with Product Managers, delivery teams, suppliers and senior stakeholders, you'll drive quality throughout the delivery lifecycle and help ensure change is implemented safely and successfully.
Why this role matters
In this role you’ll have the opportunity to shape how testing and quality assurance are delivered across a diverse portfolio of technology products and services, influencing both strategic direction and day-to-day delivery. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys leading through influence, driving continuous improvement and making a meaningful impact on the quality, reliability and performance of technology at scale.
What you’ll do

• Define, govern and continually improve testing strategies, standards and quality assurance processes
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of testing initiatives delivered through third-party suppliers and testing partners
• Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to ensure testing activity aligns with programme and operational priorities
• Identify, assess and manage testing risks, dependencies and quality issues across multiple workstreams
• Provide clear reporting, insight and recommendations on testing performance, quality and delivery status
• Support the adoption of best practice testing approaches, tools and delivery methods across the organisation
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and delivery teams to champion quality throughout the development lifecycle
• Lead, coach and support the development of a team of test analysts
What you’ll bring
We’re committed to making our roles as accessible as possible, so we only ask for the minimum criteria. To thrive here, you’ll need to bring:
• Significant experience leading large-scale testing and quality assurance activities within complex technology environments
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, test management practices and service management principles
• Experience working with test management, defect management, delivery and test automation tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or equivalent systems
• Great leadership skills, with the ability to lead, coach and develop a team of team analysts
• Experience managing third-party suppliers and offshore delivery teams
• The ability to prioritise multiple testing workstreams, balancing risks, dependencies and business priorities
• An ISTQB Test Management qualification, or equivalent experience, alongside a passion for continuous improvement and quality excellence
We know some people may hesitate to apply if they don’t meet every requirement. At Co-op, we’re committed to building diverse and inclusive teams, so if you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t align perfectly, we still encourage you to apply.

• A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
• Private healthcare
