Compliance Co-ordinator
Greater ManchesterThe purpose of this role is to ensure that our Co-op is fully compliant with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. To achieve this, you’ll support the delivery of asbestos compliance management across the business property portfolio which in turn, will ensure that we maintain a safe and healthy workplace for our colleagues across the whole business.
You’ll plan and manage your personal specific workload. You’ll be expected to work with minimal guidance.
You’ll undertake assignments and projects within set policies and procedures; whilst making decisions within agreed parameters to ensure efficient and effective working.
You’ll interface with a wide range of business stakeholders, communicating effectively to ensure a high standard of service is maintained. To achieve business objectives, you will develop positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
You’ll ensure that you and the wider team undertake activities in alignment with appropriate standards, policies, and regulations. You will escalate areas of non-compliance as appropriate. You will ensure that the delivery of your own work is within agreed timeframes and contributes to the wider commercial objectives of the business unit.
You will identify opportunities for development and take responsibility for improving your own knowledge, skills, and experience. You will identify opportunities for continuous improvement within your own business area. You will ensure that your own knowledge of regulations, policies and procedures is current and be able to apply to different situations.
Ability to analyse data and draw conclusions
Strong communication skills (including the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders)
Ability to ‘see the bigger picture’ and understand and deliver against near and long-term business requirements
Ability to manage and plan own workload to deadlines
