Role Summary:
This role ensures the accuracy, relevance and continuous improvement of Co-op’s skills frameworks in order to ensure it is robust and reflects the shape and structure of the business, now and in the future. The role acts as a central co-ordination point between business areas, governance forums and related programmes of work.
Key Responsibilities:
- To manage queries and challenges about skills mapping and skills assigned to roles, through the tracking and triaging of feedback from colleagues and leaders
- To make informed recommendations about skills mapping based on feedback trends, data patterns and stakeholder insight
- To maintain clear records of issues, actions and outcomes from governance forums and meetings
- To ensure processes are in place such that all new positions have a skills profile that is signed off and created in the Oracle system
- To maintain the skills library and reporting requirements
- To complete regular reviews of non-catalogued skills
- To create comprehensive data packs for any governance forums or meetings as needed, including insights, trends, risks and recommendations
- To present insights and facilitate discussion to enable informed decision making by others
- To work in partnership with related teams and programmes of work, such as workforce planning, to ensure alignment of outputs
- To communicate decisions, changes and taxonomy updates to relevant stakeholders
- To conduct research into emerging skills, industry trends and external frameworks that ensure Co-op’s frameworks align with market expectations and a changing world of work
- To produce concise proposals, using insights and data, for governance forums when recommending changes to the skills taxonomy
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
- Experience of managing governance processes would be beneficial for this role
- Experience of turning data into insight is critical for this role
- Experience of working with HCM systems, ideally Oracle, would be highly beneficial
