Greater ManchesterTo coordinate and deliver activities that support Co-op's Social Mobility, Inclusion and Belonging strategy, helping to embed programmes, drive progress and maintain effective governance so that colleagues can thrive in an inclusive and equitable workplace
Coordinate and support the delivery of Social Mobility, Inclusion and Belonging projects, programmes and interventions, ensuring activity is effectively planned, tracked and delivered against agreed objectives.
Support the implementation and embedding of new initiatives across business areas, working with stakeholders to monitor progress, manage actions and identify barriers to successful delivery.
Lead or coordinate defined workstreams and projects, ensuring milestones, risks, dependencies and outcomes are effectively managed and communicated.
Produce, coordinate and maintain governance materials, reports, presentations and updates for senior stakeholders and decision-making forums.
Work with People teams, business stakeholders and the wider SMIB team to support engagement, communications and delivery of agreed priorities.
Coordinate insight gathering, benchmarking, award submissions and reporting activities that support continuous improvement and external recognition.
Maintain project plans, action logs, risks, budgets and supplier administration, ensuring activity remains transparent, compliant and well-governed.
Identify opportunities to improve team processes, planning approaches and stakeholder engagement activity to increase efficiency and impact.
Operates independently within agreed plans, governance frameworks and project parameters, managing assigned activities and workstreams with minimal supervision.
Accountable for the quality, accuracy and timely delivery of project coordination, governance reporting, communications and stakeholder engagement activity.
Exercises judgement in prioritising workload, identifying risks and dependencies, and recommending practical solutions to support successful delivery.
- Responsible for escalating issues, risks or decisions requiring senior direction whilst ensuring appropriate follow-through and resolutions.
Supports the delivery of annual Social Mobility, Inclusion and Belonging plans through detailed coordination of projects, workstreams and governance activities, typically planning and managing activity over 3-12 month periods.
- Monitors milestones, risks and dependencies across multiple initiatives, adapting plans and priorities in response to changing business needs and stakeholder requirements.
Influences the successful delivery and adoption of Social Mobility, Inclusion and Belonging initiatives through effective coordination, communication and stakeholder engagement.
Works across People teams and business areas to support implementation of agreed programmes and ensure activity remains aligned to strategic objectives.
Contributes insight, recommendations and practical improvements that enhance team effectiveness and programme outcomes.
- Supports Co-op's external reputation through the coordination of benchmarking, awards, partnerships and external engagement activity
Build effective working relationships with People teams, business stakeholders and project contributors to support delivery of Social Mobility, Inclusion and Belonging priorities.
Work closely with the WL5 Manager and WL4 Lead to coordinate activity, track progress and ensure initiatives are implemented effectively across the organisation.
Engage stakeholders to gather information, monitor actions and support governance, reporting and decision-making processes.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with suppliers, external partners and industry bodies to support project delivery, benchmarking and external recognition activities
Experience coordinating projects, programmes or organisational initiatives, ensuring activity is effectively planned, governed and delivered through collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience producing high-quality reporting, communications, governance materials or business insights, using information from a variety of sources to support decision-making and delivery.
