Role Summary: 
The purpose of this role is to design and build a variety of learning products through predominately digital means that meets the needs of colleagues and leaders in Co-op. Learning products will be for diverse audiences across the Group of all levels, and will be designed for excellent and engaging user and learner experience that has high learning impact. 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • To design, curate and/or create learning products, primarily digital products, that meet the needs of specific scopes of work, as informed through the Talent & Skills team and as required by the business. 
  • To use a range of technology products, including authoring tools, to create learning products
  • To use design and user research methodologies to ensure that learning products are not just fit for purpose, but also engaging and effective in leading to learning outcomes with excellent user experience 
  • To ensure learning products are accessible and inclusive by design, and that they meet a range of learner styles 
  • To plan and manage own workload effectively to ensure timescales for pieces of work are met and managed appropriately
  • To work collaboratively across the Design Studio and within Talent & Skills more broadly to ensure that requirements are fully understood and stakeholders engaged and updated 
  • To provide advice and guidance to stakeholders on any specific design choices and options, guiding them to make choices which meet their needs whilst ensuring quality of learning product  
  • To use specialist knowledge to diagnose and resolve problems, escalating where necessary to Learning Content Leads 
  • To take accountability for own personal growth, particularly in order to ensure that they are up to date on best practice developments within learning design externally and with the use of increasingly advanced technology, including AI, within learning design 
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
  • Significant experience in learning design, with relevant degree or professional qualification preferred 
  • Experience of user experience (UX) 
  • Experience of using authoring software (eg Adobe) 
  • Experience in user research and testing methodologies 
  • Experience of project management is preferred
