Role Summary

To provide data-driven insight, reporting and analytical expertise that enables the evaluation and continuous improvement of the People Delivery model. Through collaboration with key stakeholder groups, including Workforce Planning, Organisation Design, DT&D and the Insight Team, the role will bring together people data, organisational activity and colleague feedback to inform workforce decisions, organisation design activity and initiatives that improve colleague and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce and maintain people data reporting and dashboards using data from across the People Data Hub, delivering accurate, timely and meaningful insights that support and influence evidence-based decision making across the business.

  • Analyse workforce data to identify trends, risks and opportunities relating to areas such as engagement, retention, absence, diversity, recruitment and organisational effectiveness. 

  • Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations, enabling leaders to make informed, evidence-based decisions. 

  • Support the evaluation of people initiatives, organisational changes and ways of working by measuring outcomes and assessing impact through data analysis. 

  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy and governance of people data, identifying and resolving data quality issues and promoting best practice in data management. 

  • Bring together workforce data, operational metrics, organisational activity and colleague insight from multiple sources to create a holistic view of organisational effectiveness and People Delivery performance

  • Partner with key stakeholders across the People function and wider business to understand reporting requirements, respond to information requests and deliver insight that supports strategic and operational priorities. 

  • Support the development of data literacy and self-service reporting capability across the People function, enabling stakeholders to confidently access, interpret and apply workforce insights.

  • Support workforce planning, organisational design and continuous improvement activity through the provision of robust data analysis, forecasting and evidence-based insight.

  • Develop and maintain measures of People Delivery effectiveness, providing insight into performance, demand, capacity, colleague experience and organisational outcomes.

  • Provide proactive analytical support to the People Delivery Practice Lead, identifying trends, risks, opportunities and areas requiring intervention or improvement
  • Provide accurate people reporting, dashboards and analysis that enable leaders to make informed, evidence-based workforce decisions.

  • Identify and communicate trends, risks and opportunities through the analysis of people data, supporting organisational effectiveness and colleague experience improvements. 

  • Partner with stakeholders across the People function and wider business to understand insight requirements and deliver meaningful, actionable recommendations. 

  • Maintain high standards of data quality, governance and continuous improvement, enhancing the accessibility, accuracy and value of people data and analytics.
  • Plans and delivers reporting, insight and analytical activity across quarterly and annual cycles, supporting workforce planning, people initiatives and business priorities.

  • Balances short-term reporting requirements with longer-term analysis of workforce trends, performance measures and organisational outcomes, typically working across a 6–12-month planning horizon

  • Influences decision-making across the People function by providing data-driven insight, analysis and recommendations that shape workforce priorities, people initiatives and organisational decisions.

  • Works across People teams and business stakeholders to improve understanding of workforce trends, enabling evidence-based actions that enhance colleague experience, organisational effectiveness and business performance.

  • Influences the development of People Delivery practices, governance and improvement priorities through the provision of data-led insight, analysis and performance measures.
  • Partners closely with the People Delivery Practice Lead and wider People Delivery team to understand business challenges, define analytical requirements and provide actionable insight that supports decision-making.

  • Works collaboratively with colleagues across the People function and wider business, translating complex data into accessible insights and influencing actions through clear communication and trusted expertise.

  • Partner with People Delivery Managers to identify data requirements, evaluate intervention effectiveness and provide insight that informs delivery decisions.

  • Works closely with the data team

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

  • Experience of analysing and interpreting complex people data, transforming findings into clear insights and recommendations that support business and workforce decision-making. 

  • Experience of developing and maintaining reporting, dashboards and data visualisations, ensuring data is accessible, accurate and meaningful for a range of stakeholders. 

  • Experience of partnering with stakeholders to understand business challenges, define information requirements and deliver insight that drives action and continuous improvement. 

  • Experience of identifying and resolving data quality issues and applying data governance principles to maintain confidence in people data and reporting.

  • Experience of developing meaningful performance measures and translating data into insight that informs organisational effectiveness, continuous improvement and change initiatives.
