Role Summary
The People Delivery Manager is responsible for implementing and embedding agreed people initiatives, programmes, cyclical activity and organisational change. Working with Strategic People Business Partners, the role turns agreed priorities into practical action, drives adoption and delivers measurable business outcomes. 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation and delivery of people initiatives, programmes and interventions, ensuring activity is aligned, dependencies managed and outcomes are successfully embedded.

  • Work with Strategic People Business Partners to translate agreed people priorities and interventions into implementation plans, adoption activity and measurable business outcomes.

  • Drive the adoption and embedding of organisational change, ensuring new behaviours, processes and ways of working become sustainable.

  • Develop and maintain performance measures, dashboards and analytical insight that evaluate the effectiveness of People Delivery activity and identify emerging trends, risks and opportunities

  •  Coordinate implementation activity across multiple stakeholder groups, business areas and People teams, managing interdependencies, competing priorities and delivery risks to ensure agreed outcomes.

  • Lead the delivery of key people processes and cyclical activity, ensuring consistency, quality and a positive leader and colleague experience. 

  • Build effective stakeholder relationships that enable engagement, commitment and successful implementation of people solutions. 

  •  Monitor delivery progress, proactively identifying delivery risks, stakeholder challenges and resolve barriers, taking action to maintain delivery momentum and realise expected benefits

  • Use data insight, performance measures and stakeholder feedback to inform implementation decisions, refine delivery approaches and support the successful adoption of people interventions

  • Deploy into enterprise and business priorities as required, working across organisational boundaries to support delivery of the highest value people outcomes
  • Operates with a high degree of autonomy to plan and deliver people initiatives, programmes and change activity within agreed strategic priorities. 

  • Determines the most effective approach to implementation, stakeholder engagement and adoption, using professional judgement to achieve outcomes. 

  • Independently manages delivery plans, priorities, risks and issues, escalating only where strategic decisions or significant barriers arise. 

  • Accountable for implementation, coordination, adoption and embedding of agreed people interventions, ensuring intended outcomes are realised within the business.
  • Operates from an agreed people plan established in partnership with Strategic People Business Partners and business leaders.

  • Has authority to make decisions relating to delivery, implementation and change execution, but does not set people strategy or design organisation-wide solutions. 

  • No direct budget accountability is anticipated, although the role may manage activity and resources within agreed funding and operational parameters.
  • Typically plans over a 3–12-month horizon, managing the delivery and implementation of people initiatives, change programmes and annual people cycles. 

  • Focuses on translating strategic priorities into medium-term delivery plans and sustainable outcomes, balancing immediate delivery needs with longer-term adoption and embedding of change
  • Influences the successful implementation, adoption and sustainability of agreed people interventions, providing delivery insight and feedback to improve future outcomes.

  • Influences across business leaders, People teams, Centres of Excellence and Shared Services to drive adoption, alignment and successful delivery of people priorities.
  • Works closely with Strategic People Business Partners to implement agreed people priorities and interventions.

  • Builds strong working relationships across the wider People function, including Centres of Excellence, Shared Services and Enterprise Squad, to coordinate and implement people solutions.

  • Influences stakeholders from operational leaders through to senior leaders, driving engagement, commitment and adoption of people initiatives and change activity.

  • Works across multiple business areas and functions, acting as a key connector to align stakeholders, manage dependencies and deliver successful business and people outcomes.

  • Work collaboratively with the People Data Analyst to define insight requirements, evaluate impact and translate analytical findings into practical actions and delivery interventions

Knowledge, Skills, Experience
  • Experience delivering and embedding organisational change, people initiatives and business improvement activity, ensuring agreed outcomes are adopted, sustained and realised in practice. 

  • Experience coordinating diverse stakeholder groups and managing implementation across complex business environments.
