Technical Solutions & Insights Operative
Greater ManchesterBy supporting remote monitoring, commissioning, and investigation activities, the role helps ensure that devices are correctly configured, operating within agreed parameters, and aligned with Co-op and manufacturer specifications.
Energy PPM (EPPM) Support
• Analyse energy, control system, and asset data to support PPM reviews across the Co-op estate
• Provide insight to validate that HVAC, refrigeration, and lighting systems are deployed and operating in line with agreed energy strategies
• Identify trends, deviations, configuration issues, and optimisation opportunities to support corrective actions
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that evidence compliance, efficiency, and deployment quality
• Support accurate record-keeping of review outcomes, findings, and actions
Technical Service Bureau (TSB) Support
• Analyse data from remotely monitored and networked assets to support 24/7 system oversight and operational efficiency
• Support remote commissioning activities by validating data, settings, and performance against Co-op and manufacturer specifications
• Identify anomalies, alarms, and performance risks that could impact food safety or system stability
• Provide data-led insight to support remote investigations and corrective actions
• Assist with “lock-down” of monitoring and control parameters through data validation and exception reporting
General & Cross-Team Responsibilities
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and traceability of data across monitoring platforms and approved tools
• Produce clear, concise analytical outputs for operational, technical, and non-technical stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with EPPM Engineers, TSB colleagues, and other internal teams to improve outcomes
• Support continuous improvement of reporting, analytics, and insight-led decision-making
• Respond to ad-hoc data requests and evolving operational requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to interpret operational and technical datasets and translate them into actionable insights
• Confident using data analysis and reporting tools (e.g. Excel, BI platforms, or equivalent)
• Understanding of data quality, exception management, and performance monitoring
• Clear communication skills, with the ability to support technical teams through structured insight
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid working environment while contributing to multi-disciplinary teams
